What to expect:

Patient Forms
Upon entering our office, our receptionist will welcome you as a member of our family.  We will request that you sign in and complete our patient forms if you haven’t done so prior to your first appointment. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition. If you prefer, you may fill out the forms provided for you on this website and can save you about 10 minutes on your first office visit.


Consultation
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Auten to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Auten to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.

Examination
After your consultation, Dr. Auten will perform a complete chiropractic bio-structural examination which gathers specific information about spinal range of motion, balance tests and postural distortions. Dr. Auten will also feel particular areas of the spinal column to look for vertebral areas that do not move normally, have areas of muscle tightness or spasm as well as tissue swelling or pain. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, and physical tests may be performed as well.

The examination process will help Dr. Auten determine if you are indeed a candidate for chiropractic care. Additionally, this will be the time X-rays are taken if needed to further the understanding of any structural abnormalities throughout the spine. 

Report of Findings
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, Dr. Auten will go over his findings and answer any questions including:
  1. How can you help me?
  2. How often do I need to come in?
After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and any X-rays, Dr. Auten will discuss recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other providers. Dr. Auten will provide the best treatment and wellness program for your specific needs.

Payment Options
Dr. Kris Auten believes in the value of wellness care for you and your family and has maintained a pricing structure that allows care for all budgets. Our office participates in many insurance programs. For patients who have little or no chiropractic insurance coverage, flexible payment programs can be arranged.
